Matthew 6:10
We should move to a place in our lives where our prayer time encompasses our whole day... we are living to pray. In the verse today, the Lord's Prayer guides us to pray for God's kingdom to come and God's will to be done in our lives here on Earth as it will be in heaven. This means our kingdom and our will must be set aside in order to gain a heavenly perspective, and it all begins with meaningful prayer.
Many people are missing out on the rewards of prayer. Jesus models prayer for His disciples and for us, but the Lord's Prayer is often mishandled in our lives. We need to look to Jesus to get our expectations, attitudes, and focus right as we pray.
