Luke 13:1-5
Often Jesus spoke in parables that were indirect or confusing, but in this exchange he is blunt and direct: all must repent or likewise perish. Often we may feel that we have unlimited time to share Jesus with others or to accept him for ourselves, but actually no one knows their time and day. There is no time to waste.
God has given us a clear mission as Christians, but like going bungee-jumping or skydiving, we eventually have to make the jump or we will never accomplish it. He never promised it would be easy.
