Acts 6-7
We don't hear about Stephen until he is a disciple under consideration to be a deacon, but he receives a glowing description from Luke. He allowed God to rule and direct his life, even in the face of controversy. We see at his death that Jesus was proud of him... how will we respond in our controversies? Will Jesus be proud or disappointed?
If you're not feeling like a loser right now, the season will come. God is looking for people with weaknesses to do His work so that when we succeed, He is glorified even more.
