Matthew 25:1-13
The use of parables was common in Jewish teaching in order to help people understand truths clearly. Jesus uses the parable of ten virgins to explain his second coming and give us two possible outcomes... but the main point is to be ready!
Some verses are everywhere: coffee cups, wall art, bumper stickers. But do they really mean what we think they mean? We will focus on some of these verses and clarify what they really mean.
