John 15:1-17
Many Christians accept a "prosperity gospel" where they think they can ask for anything they want, add Jesus' name at the end, and they will get it. Even though Jesus states it this way in scripture multiple times, it is a statement that needs to be examined. Why are our prayers sometimes not answered, or possibly even heard.
Some verses are everywhere: coffee cups, wall art, bumper stickers. But do they really mean what we think they mean? We will focus on some of these verses and clarify what they really mean.
