Luke 9:57-62 God has given us a clear mission as Christians, but like going bungee-jumping or skydiving, we eventually have to make the jump or we will never accomplish it. He never promised it would be easy. Jesus addressed our tendencies in Luke 9 and addressed these excuses for our hesitation. The only way to follow Him is to take the leap.

Luke 13:1-5 Often Jesus spoke in parables that were indirect or confusing, but in this exchange he is blunt and direct: all must repent or likewise perish. Often we may feel that we have unlimited time to share Jesus with others or to accept him for ourselves, but actually no one knows their time and day. There is no time to waste.

Numbers 13 Moses sends twelve scouts into the promised land on a path that will lead them past the biggest historical landmarks from the lives of Abraham and his descendants. They come back with opposing reports... one focusing on the worldly fear and the other focusing on God's blessings and faithfulness. Which side will you choose?
