CloseLuke 1:26-38 It would have been obvious for the Messiah to come to a high priest or a king in Jerusalem, but instead Gabriel traveled to Nazareth, which had a bad reputation, to meet with a virgin girl and a carpenter. When he told Mary she was highly favored, it wasn't a complement... it was a way of saying "you need grace instead of what you deserve" just like we should hear. But instead we receive this grace from Jesus, as well as the help of the Holy Spirit to make the impossible possible.
