Baptizing Jesus
Luke 3:21-23 John was another of the "faithful remnant" that made God's plan for Jesus possible. While most Jews were looking for a messiah who would overthrow Rome and rule again like David, the faithful remnant followed what God had promised in His Word. John preached repentance through baptism and eighteen years after we last saw him, Jesus appears out of the crowd of John's followers... but why does the perfect son of God need baptism?
