Know that: 

• God loves me and created me to be in a relationship with Him. (Psalm 139:13-16) 

• My sin eternally separates me from God and has death as a consequence. (Romans 3:23; 6:23; Isaiah 59:2) 

• I cannot save myself, but God can and has provided the way. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8; John 3:16; John 14:6) 

• Admit my sin to God. (1 John 1:9) 

• Believe Jesus died for me as payment for my sin and came back to life so that I can have eternal life. (Romans 10:9) 

• Put my faith and trust in Jesus to forgive me and be my Savior. (Romans 10:13; John 1:12) 

• Ask Jesus to by my Savior through prayer: ​​

• ​Dear God, Thank you for creating me and loving me. I am sorry and admit I have sinned against you. I turn away 
  from my sins and believe Jesus died on the cross so my sins can be forgiven. I now put my trust in Jesus as my Savior.
